I didn't care much for the movie, but the cars sure are neat. I picked up Lewis Hamilton this afternoon at Target. A bit overpriced, but I need it for my collection. And his car is based on ______________.

Looks like a McLaren MP4-12C or some sort of Lotus. Maybe an Exige.

My first guess was Lotus, but a site I found on the Internet, which means it must be true, says that it's a modified McLaren MP4-12C GT3. So you win.

As much as I don't like Hamilton, I love this car. Just the size/weight of it are really nice, and it does look very much like a McLaren, no matter how cartoony!

Agreed on all counts. There's no question that Lewis is an extremely talented driver. I just wish he'd stop whinging and get on with the drive. Merc looks pretty strong in testing, so perhaps we'll here less bitching.

I certainly hope so! I picked him to get second place in Melbourne in our fantasy F1, so we'll see how it goes... I hope it doesn't turn into a debacle like the Magnetti CEO said it might.

True but he was the first driver to be basically raised by a team since he was a child. Mclaren were his family and he stuck the middle finger up at them.
